Match Thoughts: First of all, the crowd was super hot for Muta, who of course by this time was wrestling very rarely in WCW. Obviously the fans remembered him from each appearance and even I was surprised how popular he was. His moves such as the Avalanche Frankensteiner (which the commentators said they hadn't seen before) and kicking Parker off the apron got the loudest roars. The ending was booed heavily but I understand why they did it. They didn't want Muta to lose (perhaps New Japan had stipulated it) by normal means, but obviously he wasn't going to win the title so this was an easy way out. Plus it can be justified because they don't have that rule in New Japan. Anyway, the match itself was fine, although it took a little longer to pick-up then I would have liked and then the ending came pretty shortly soon after, but it was still a very well-fought match and both wrestlers came out of it looking as they did coming in (Muta the awesome invader, Austin the cowardly champion). Also anyone that has not seen Steve Austin pre-neck injury really needs to check out matches like this, he really was a good wrestler and more then just a brawler. Fun match for Muta's only WCW appearance in 1994. Score: 7.0
