Great Muta, Dragonmaster, and Sawyer vs. Santo, Hughes, and Hart
on December 2nd, 1989
Event: NWA World Championship Wrestling Sawyer and Santo start things off, and Sawyer slams Santo's head into the ring. He then throws Santo out of the ring, Santo slowly returns but Sawyer slams him into Dragonmaster's foot and tags in Dragonmaster. Stomps by Dragonmaster, he picks up Santo and delivers a scoop slam. Dragonmaster picks up Santo again and tags in Muta. Muta stomps on Santo in the corner and throws him into the corner so that he can tag out. Hughes is tagged in, Muta stomps Hughes and tags in Dragonmaster. Dragonmaster kicks Hughes in the corner, snapmare, and Dragonmaster gives Hughes a double stomp. Dragonmaster tags in Sawyer, and Sawyer allows Hughes to tag in Hart. Sawyer punches Hart back, and Hart tags in Santo. Powerslam by Sawyer to Santo, he goes up to the top turnbuckle and nails the body press. Cover, and he picks up the three count. Your winners: Great Muta, The Dragonmaster, and Buzz Sawyer Match Thoughts: This was really just put on so that Sullivan and Jim Ross could talk about how awesome the J-Tex Connection was and how Dragonmaster was so good he was banned from even wrestling in Japan (which is hilarious). The match itself was just a normal quick squash, with Dragonmaster getting some in-ring time to show that he was more then just a manager. It did a good job at putting over that they are a united front in the ring to be reckoned with, but as far as squashes go it was pretty so-so. Score: 4.0 |
